BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Chockalingam Aravind Vaithilingam professional Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council UK. He holds doctoral degree in electrical power engineering with his PhD work earning Gold at the MTE 2013. He is a very frequent speaker at various international and national platforms.

Dr. Aravind  is the Programme Director for Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme which is the first programme within the school to be ranked in the QS 2023 narrow subject.

Dr. Aravind is also a Professional Technologists with the Malaysian Board of Technologists, a member with the Society of Engineering Education Malaysia, a Senior member with IEEE and member of IET UK.

Dr. Aravind  currently also heads the Clean Technology Impact Lab aligned to the SDG 6 and SDG 7 as part of alignment of future of education research and advocacy strategy of the Taylor’s University.

Dr. Aravind heads VERTICALS, a high impact research cluster and holds multiple filed patents in energy applications with the more recent on hybrid low-cost solar energy harvester in 2021. He has published over 150 indexed dissemination and secured projects of grant value USD 287,703 of which 50.6 % as principal investigator since 2007.

Dr. Aravind is also developer of multiple award-winning CODE design thinking enterprise framework which he used to develop teaching, learning, research, teaching and consulting solutions.
