Mr. Koh Jing Hao

Koh Jing Hao is an accomplished lecturer at the School of Architecture, Building & Design with a deep passion for heritage architecture. He has extensive experience in supervising measured drawing projects of significant heritage buildings in Malaysia, including Ng Clan Ancestral Hall, Sun Yat Sen Museum, Old Johor Chinese Temple, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Melaka Fui Chew Association, and the heritage dwellings of the Sungai Buloh leprosarium. Through these projects, he has developed a strong expertise in traditional Chinese architecture, culture and society.

 

While Koh Jing Hao is also proficient in digital heritage documentation, his primary focus is on preserving and embracing Malaysia’s cultural heritage. He has organised and curated numerous exhibitions and events that showcase the outcomes of these measured drawing projects to the local community. These include the Melaka Measured Drawing & Local Community Old Photographs Exhibition (2017), Religious Traditional Architecture Measured Drawing & Model Exhibition (2018) and Architecture, Community & Memories: Jln Stesen 1, Klang Measured Drawing Project Sharing Session (2018). Koh Jing Hao's work embodies the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and the role of architecture in facilitating this preservation.
