Associate Professor Dr Elise Line Mognard

Assoc Prof Dr Elise Mognard holds a PhD in sociology from Université de Toulouse, CERTOP-CNRS (Toulouse - France) and is currently Associate Professor at Taylor’s University and Programme Director for Postgraduate Programmes in Food Studies. She has 15 years of experience in education. Her research expertise and research interests lie in the study of modernization of food habits and systems, and their implications in terms of cosmopolitanism, health and sustainability.

Key research interests: Transformations in food habits and systems and their relation to health, Food heritage and tourism, Protein transition in a multicultural context, Controversies and thematizations relating to the relationship between humans and animals.
