Dr Chuah Hui Wen

Chuah Hui Wen (Stephanie) is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Hospitality, Tourism & Events and an Associate Director of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Tourism (CRiT) at Taylor’s University. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration at Asia University, Taiwan, and as a visiting scholar at the Hochschule Darmstadt – University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Her research work has appeared in top-tier journals including Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitality Marketing & Management, Internet Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Computers in Human Behavior, among others. She has won several scholarly awards which include the Best Paper Award for 2022 (Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management); Best Paper Award at the  3rd International Tourism and Retail Service Management Conference  (TRMC2021); the Young Service Researcher Award and the Best Paper Award (2017) sponsored by the Journal of Service Management (Emerald) at the 8th International Research Symposium in Service Management (IRSSM-8); the Hall of Fame (Anugerah Sanggar Sanjung) and the Outstanding Publication Performance Awards (2016) by Universiti Sains Malaysia; the Best Paper Award at the 11th Asian Academic of Management International Conference (AAMC) (2015); and the  Emerald Literati Award (Outstanding Reviewer for The Bottom Line)Also, she has successfully secured several research and industrial grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan.
